In 3hrs, 14 minutes and 23 seconds. He got smoked by the Kenyan who won, 2 hours, 3 minutes, and 2 seconds.

Stew Goes to Boston

Congrats to the Stew Meat for qualifying for the 2011 Boston Marathon! Stew ships off Sunday, with his white Fruit of the Loom undershirt and 1995 Umbro shorts ready to go. In order to raise awareness, Stew will sport a custom t-shirt. The front will read, "The Real BC is in Savannah." The back will read, "Our St. Patrick's Day Parade is better because we wear green blazers instead of green windsuits."

Will Ferrell on The Office

So Will Ferrell is going to be on The Office this Thursday and apparently for the foreseeable future. Not sure what his character is going to be like, but maybe we'll see some of this.

SPD St. Patricks Day Beat Down

I'm sure this will start making the rounds soon. These cops were probably fed up with dealing with the crackers on River Street all day. Make no mistake, the crackers in this video are certifiable.

SPD '11 Redux

WINNERS
- BBR for being awesome.
- Everyone that attended the BBR.
- MR and MM for getting the corner room at the Hilton.
- The Hilton for being gracious hosts and putting up with a lot of crap that other hotels would not put up with.
- God for gracing us with perfect weather.
- Thursdays for being the best parade day - huge, but not overwhelming crowds, and 3 days to recover.
- Madison Square for being the new Chippewa Square.
- WF for going the distance for the first time since '06.
- ML for catching his second wind after the BBR.
- SL for rubbing elbows with the big dogs at the SF breakfast and HS banquet.

LOSERS
- KofC for missing out on some of the post-parade crowd since the great weather kept everyone in the squares after the parade.
- SPDPC for the 10-minute gap towards the end of the parade and for publishing a full-page SCPS ad in the Parade Magazine.
- LH for over-celebrating his induction into CnE.

For me, this was the best Parade season ever. Hopefully 2012 will be even better, as TC and I will be pushing strollers!

Just a friendly reminder of some openings/closings on St. Patrick's Day.

Pinkie Master's will be open at 7:30 AM.

The KofC #631 will be open 24 hrs beginning tonight.

Space Mountain will be closed this year, due to maintanance.

The Boom Boom Room will be open from 4-7 PM.

The parking lot next to Soho Cafe on Liberty Street will be open (Take my word for it, Michael L.)

JJBA's fly will be open at 9 PM.

It was announced yesterday that Apple's newest iPad will come out in just over a week.  This one will be lighter, faster, and have longer battery life.

I think the iPad is cool.  So cool that if you chopped its price in half, made the screen a little bigger, and attached a keyboard to it, it would almost be as cool and easy to use as a laptop.
