30 years ago this week, John Lennon was shot and killed in New York City. In his memory we list the best 10 songs the Beatles ever released; coincidentally, all have one thing in common: they are all John songs. Nothing against Paul, who is great, it just turned out that way somehow.

I might have missed one, but no tracks from Rubber Soul?
okay I missed one. and I know you're an early era Beatles guy.
1) Day Tripper
2) Here Comes the Sun
3) While My Guitar Gently Weeps
4) Ticket to Ride
5) Get Back
6) Love Me Do
7) Let It Be
8) A Hard Day's Night
9) Hello GoodBye
10) I Want to Hold Your Hand
Rubber Soul didn't have any smash singles. In fact, it was the first album intended NOT to really have any singles, but was intended more as a "collection" of songs.
No songs were even released from Rubber Soul in the UK, and only "Nowhere Man" was released in the US. It's a great song - I'd put it at #11. "In My Life" is great too, I'd probably have it at #12.
It's just that no Rubber Soul songs are really poppy enough to warrant being in the top 10 I guess.
