Congratulations
'09 Benedictine Cadets. Region (3)AAAAA City Champs.
Next up: Jeff Davis and 7 other schools no one has ever heard of. Wait, why do we keep playing in AA? Oh wait, I forgot, that way we don't have to keep making the exhausting 0.4 mile drive to Varnedoe Drive to continue dominating 5A rivals and easily afford ourselves the press and prestige that comes from a first-round playoff bid in the state's highest classification.
Ugh!! Who would want that anyway?? Bring it on Jeff Davis!! We're ready!!
P.S.: Does anyone know what/where Jeff Davis is and is anybody actually going or even thought about going?

It's Bradley Wilkerson...#79, Defensive Tackle.
So yeah, Jeff Davis is in Hazlehurst, Georgia, about 1.5 hours from here. There's gonna be a BCAA bus headed up there too.
Bradley, glad to see you've taken an interest in our blog.
While we lament the fact that BC is playing sports in a division far below where we belong, we absolutely take nothing away from the young men who suit up for our beloved Cadets Friday night.
I hope you haven't taken Pat's post as criticism of the team itself as I'm sure that was not his intention. Quite the contrary, the team's results this season further support the claim that BC can and would succeed in AAAAA.
Keep up the good work. Give 'em hell.
Bradley, I would be there if I still lived in Savannah. I hope ya'll win next Friday and we will pulling hard for ya'll while listening to it over the internet in places like Atlanta, Athens, etc.
I don't want to speak for too many other people, but I just think a lot of BC fans (and high school football fans in SAV generally) would rather watch ya'll beat up on cross city rivals here at home (SHS, Johnson, Beach, and Groves) and get front page sports coverage for it.
Thank you for all that you and your teammates do day in and day out. I never even played any real sports at BC so what do I know.
Jack said that Bradley can eat a lot of cheeseburgers
Thanks, while I understand that the size of our school may warrant AA play, I agree with your thoughts about our almost guaranteed success in AAAAA. Not only would BC gain local praise and ridiculously extensive media coverage, we would also command the attention of more college coaches, a definite positive for the players on our team that may be able to play at the higher level.
By the way, Pat's post, in my opinion, did not seem like criticism. Being a part of the team currently, I myself would not criticize any part of what we are doing, strictly based on the fact that it is not my place as a 16 year old to comment negatively on the decisions of those over me. (Besides, I can't change much, now can I?)
By the way, thanks Joe and Patrick for the support.
And yes, I can eat my fair share of cheeseburgers.
