Leonard Dropping

An excerpt from this morning's SMN article, Parade Marshal a man of faith, family and friends.

Herb also counts a number of grand marshals in his green-tinted bloodlines...An uncle, Denny Leonard, a former coach at Benedictine and subsequently at Boy's Catholic and later Aquinas High School in Augusta, and his son, Michael Leonard, served as grand marshals of the Augusta parade in 1981 and 2008, respectively.

I also thought this was a great picture from 1975. Check out the pants!

Love it. If you look at the pictures in the article, there's also one of our grandfather with Joe and Denny Herb.

The picture is from 1975, the year Johnny Leonard was grandmarshal.
Our grandfather and Johnny's brother, Denny, was a marshal's aid. See the picture Michael refers to.
Denny Herb's mother, Catherine, was sister to Johnny and Denny.

The guy to the right of Joe Herb in the hat is our uncle Larry Saunders. Any idea who some of these other guys are?
