Reminds me of the time John Kerry claimed he had Irish heritage, only to later take back his statement when it was revealed that his "Kerry" was an Anglocized version of a Polish name.
Also, Kerry's family became Catholic as a neccessity to live.
During WWII, his family was Jewish. To escape the gas chamber, they converted.
I wouldn't even call Kerry Catholic. The Bishops have refused him communion because of his liberal agenda. I hear he attends a "Catholic" church not sanctioned by Rome. There, he can support abortion and gay marriage all he wants.
