Zing!
A few of my other HRC favorites:
"There is no such thing as other people's children."
"We are calling for a consensus of common values and common vision" (for 300 million people).
After nationalizing health care, she told the NY Times her next project would be "redefining who we are as human beings in the post-modern age."
She's a shoe-in for the nomination and already leading all the front-running Republicans in every poll. It's a scary time for the defenders of limited government and individual liberty.
Sounded like Mrs. Taylor to me.
This is a bit frightening, to be honest.
I think having any sort of women president is frightening... besides Ann Coulter or Margaret Thatcher.
One of the most chilling things to me was when, in reference to oil companies, she said "I want to take those profits and put them in a strategic engery fund."
What can be more chilling than an America where you don't have the right to make a profit? Where if you do make a profit you are labeled "greedy"- the most loaded word in the English language. Where the government will take what profit you make and put it to whatever cause-of-the-moment moneytrap they wish.
Ty, I agree, that's probably one of her most revealing statements (I remember blogging on that issue a few months back, here).
What's astounding to me is how over 40% of voters polled already say they'll vote for her. Who are these people?!? I can't name one person who would even consider voting for her. I guess that's because I've lived in red states my whole life, but it's still simply inconceivable to me how she's already leading Rudy, who's a likeable moderate, by 10 points in some polls.
