2006 MAN OF THE YEAR: TOM POWERS

Well, the votes are in, and the results are as clear as can be. You the people chose T.P. as the 1st annual BMBS Man of the Year. In total, there were 43 "actual" votes cast, which means we had pretty good turnout. The results were as follows:

TP = 23 votes
Rick Schwarz = 12 votes (there were 23 "fake" votes for Rick)
Chris Lane = 8 votes
Burger King = 0 votes (there were some folks who voted for the Burger King, but after they'd already cast their original votes for someone else, thus these do not count).

So congratulations to TP for becoming the first recipient of this world-renowned honor, and to Ryan for submitting what will probably go down in history as the worst possible candidate for this contest.

The two-horse race we thought we had ended up being a landslide victory for "Uncle" TP.

Even though Rick's backers were stuffing the ballot box, he certainly dserved the nomination and might have won, had we clarified the intent of the award to reflect the nominees' (mis)deeds during the current calendar year.

Still, the people wanted TP and plans are already in the works to present TP with a plaque to commemorate this unique and prestigious award.

"Hail T.P Powers! He'll be the best and brightest BMBS Man of them all... Wearing his sash, and heading up the big parade... Hail T.P. Powers!..."

The award for Beer Pong Shot Of The Year goes to Will Fleming, who bounced high off the wall and into the single cup on my side of the table. Will and I tried this shot for no less than 30 minutes and he was first to succeed. I matched his accomplishment a few minutes later.
