The other day, I overheard some know-it-all kid standing in front of the library who sneered: "I find it humorous that conservatives are against abortion and for the death penalty. Talk about hypocrisy."
Personally, I find it humorous, if not ridiculous, that someone could actually parallelize irrehabilitable serial killers as posing just as much of a danger to society as innocent unborn children. But that's just me.

This liberal is lost in his own emotions. Here's the difference between a justified execution and all abortions.
An execution is justly carried out when the convict still poses a threat to the public. He is put to death not because of what happened in the past, but what might happen in the future. That's why Saddam's execution was justified. When we pull out of Iraq, his cronies could have very well released him to murder more people.
Conversely, liberals are willing to trash the unborn in punishment for SOMEONE ELSE'S actions. Terrible.
I think I've pretty much repeated what you said Pat.
Money quote: "He is put to death not because of what happened in the past, but what might happen in the future."
Exactly: It's not because it's a deterrent or a form of punishment, because those aren't necessarily justified reasons for killing someone.
But when the convicted shows serious potential of escaping back into society and posing a serious threat to the public, the death penalty is absolutely 110% justified.
Call me a crazy right-winger, but I just fail to see how babies that haven't even been born yet somehow fall into the same category as the above mentioned.
I spent a good three minutes trying to pronounce "irrehabilitable."
Perhaps you overheard the same guy whom I heard say "Dude, you know I never blackout!"
