An Open Letter To Our Government

To: President Obama
Cc: Senate, House of Representatives

Dear Sirs and Madams,

Good job, turds.  After months of wrangling over the debt ceiling, you finally got a deal done to raise it one more time.  Give yourself a pat of on the back for actually getting some sort of work done....

Now you might be saying, "But wait a minute!  They lowered our credit rating anyway!  No fair!".  I realize that as government officials, your concept of fair is juvenile at best but I assure you, this is totally fair.  This same thing happens to consumers all the time: you get some credit cards, max them out, and your credit score goes down.  It's maddening to think that our government can manage its finances no better than a 19 year old sorority girl.

So, think of this credit downgrade as the big talk with Dad.  You're in deep shit.  How are you going to fix this?  What can you even do at this point?

Enjoy your weekend, asswipes.  I wouldn't want to be strolling into your jobs on Monday.

Best regards,
Joe

This and That

- The Debt Ceiling: the GOP is on a roll and should keep up the fight. Insiders claim they are conceding the political center to Obama, virtually guaranteeing him re-election. This may be true, but the long-term trend remains on our side, and sticking to our guns only helps accelerate the process. From Forbes.com:
Obama is not the new FDR, but the new Gorbachev. Beneath the tattered, fading banner of reactionary liberalism, Obama struggles to sustain a doomed system. Democrats’ dependency agenda — swelling the ranks of government employees, multiplying government-subsidized industries, enveloping ever-more individuals in the entitlement culture — is buckling under an intractable contradiction: It is incompatible with economic growth sufficient to create enough wealth to feed the multiplying tax eaters.
- You will likewise continue to hear talks this week about how our politicians are acting childish (and this charge will almost always be directed towards Republicans, never the other guys) and how Washington is now fundamentally "broken." Again, if "childish" or "broken" means "having a serious discussion for the first time in 16 years about the role of the federal government and how much money it spends", then broken government is clearly the way to go. My only regret is that we didn't have broken government during Bush's 8 years and Obama's first two. If that were the case we'd probably be running huge surpluses right now.

- Prices everywhere are going up. Gas, Chipotle, McDonald's, Miller Lite's at Churchills (now $5), Hilliard's, rent. Even Netflix. "Mainstream", "respected", and "reasonable" economists (i.e., those in bed with the administration) will blame the inflation on things like "rising demand" or "higher fuel costs", but those of us who aren't on CNN's or the DNC's payroll understand the true cause of rising prices: an increase in the money supply.

When unemployment's at 9% and prices are increasing, you have the same problem Jimmy Carter couldn't solve or explain away. Keynsian pump-priming, stimulus quick-fixes, and endless deficit spending don't lead to prosperity, but only to more dollars chasing the same amount of goods. Believe it or not, printing more pieces of paper with dead presidents on them doesn't create additional resources for the economy, nor expand its productive capacity.

Anyway, that's it. I don't really have a good way to conclude this post, so I'm ending it here. Oh yea, and we need Rick Perry to run for president.

There's a new Bishop in town, and his name is Hartmayer.

New Bishop named to lead Savannah diocese.

Two good things about Bishop-Elect Hartmayer:
1. He spent over a decade in Catholic high school administration. Savnnah's Catholic school system, or lack thereof, needs a boost.
2. He claims 3/4 Irish ancestry.

His work in parishes with large immigrant populations is also an asset that should benefit our Diocese.

Mark the Calendars Now

September 16th, 2011: BC plays Savannah High in Grayson Stadium for the first time in 52 years.

Not sure what's prompted the city to do this but we should all be very thankful for the decision. Grayson's capacity isn't near what it used to be; that plus all of the hype and nostalgia could make this a sellout crowd.

Georgia doesn't play anybody important the next day so there is no reason for a BC alum to miss this game (other than not being able to find a ticket).

Good things are happening.

Leonard Wedding

Fellow BMBS contributor, Michael, will become the second Leonard brother to tie the knot this weekend. The irony is that Michael, a GT grad and diehard Yellow Jacket fan, will be getting married at the UGA Catholic Center. Also, when I referred to Michael as a "BMBS contributor" I really meant "BMBS member" since only Pat and I contribute anything these days.

June

- Obama: Politically vulnerable but will still be re-elected as it stands today. The Republicans simply don't have a candidate. If they did, they've have a decent shot.

- Braves: I have not bet on a Braves game in a while so I have no idea what's going on. Sorry.

- TV: Mad Men has been delayed and won't air until next Spring at the earliest. The final season of Friday Night Lights is all that's left.

- Weddings: Charlie Webber is getting married this coming weekend. The wedding is Baptist but sources have confirmed there will be liquor.

- BC: Will face Blessed Trinity in Roswell in less than 90 days. While BC doesn't have a prayer, it seems like most everyone is impressed with Britt at this point. A 5-win season would equal success. Finally putting Christian on the schedule for 2012 demonstrates Britt is serious about things; he realizes we at least have to face SCPS if we ever want to eventually reclaim our spot as the city's top program.

AAAAAA

The GHSA voted yesterday to expand from the current 5-class structure to a new 6-class structure beginning with the 2012-13 school year. According to 2010 enrollment figures (which were used in the current classification cycle), here is where local schools will are projected to be placed. Remember, the initial re-classification process won't start until Fall 2011 enrollment numbers are submitted, so this could all change.

6A: Camden, Bradwell

5A: Brunswick, Glynn, Effingham

4A: Jenkins, Windsor, Groves, Johnson, Richmond Hill, South Effingham, Statesboro, Wayne, Ware, Liberty

3A: Beach, Savannah High

2A: BC, Sav. Christian, MCA, Claxton, Metter, Long, Screven

This is a golden opportunity for the public schools to form a solid 4A region, with Beach and SHS playing up.

BC will have some options, depending on what the public schools do. If the public schools continue to ride Camden's coattails up to 6A, I don't think BC will follow. If a Savannah-based 4A region is formed, that could be very appealing. Playing in 2A with SCPS is not a bad option either, considering that looks like it could be a small region and we would have room to schedule a few non-region games.

There is still something to be said, however, about being "above" the Savannah private schools, even if it is only perception. But to the average fan, perception is reality.

On the flip side, having SCPS on the schedule (and possibly Calvary and SCDS as non-region games) would draw huge gates and develop into real rivalries (SHS is now only a rivalry in the historical sense).

It will be very interesting to see what happens...

Westboro Baptist Comes to Savannah!

I saw a page on Facebook that posted the Westboro Baptist Church's picket schedule, so I decided to repost here.

Apparently Savannah is rife with sin and these nice folks are coming to save us.

As much as I would enjoy some heated, possibly even violent confrontations with these nut jobs, I don't think it will happen. If I know Savannah, and I think I do, these protests will be met by curious stares from tourists, and complete disregard from locals. I think that sends the strongest message. Savannahians have much more important things to do than take time out of a Sunday to listen to these weirdos.

A Sunday in late May? Everyone will be at Tybee anyhow.

I've posted the schedule below in case anyone is interested. You'll notice they're not stopping by ol' BC.

First Baptist Church in Savannah , GA May 22, 2011 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM
WBC to picket First Baptist Church, Savannah, GA. False prophets rule by their own means and the people love to have it so.

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end therof? Jeremiah 5:31

What will you do? You have no excuses when you stand before the Great White Throne. You have paid these false prophets to lie to you in order to justify your sins. If they tell you what you want to hear you think that you can go on sinning day after day with no consequences. There is no forgiveness without repentance. Repentance means STOP your sin! Change your mind and change your conduct.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4:3-4.

Obey or Perish!

Savannah Christian Church in Savannah, GA May 22, 2011 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM
WBC to picket the Savannah Christian Church. The Lord your God has sent you a strong delusion that you would believe the lies that your so-called preachers tell you. You lap up the fables of God loves everyone and it's ok to be gay because you have no standing to dispute them. They make you feel good and allow you to think that your sins are by far better than the next guy so no reason to put them away and obey.

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. Deuteronomy 7:9-10

You have turned from serving the Lord to serving idols of every kind (think Easter bunnies and american flags.) Your destruction is imminent! Obey or Perish!

Savannah Christian Church in Savannah, GA May 22, 2011 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM
WBC to picket the other Savannah Christian Church as well. Because you pay your preachers to preach lies your churches are full of divorce and remarriage, (which is adultery,) and fags, (which is the abomination of desolation.)

Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. Luke 16:18

For the LORD, the god of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that you deal not treacherously. Malachi 2:16

Satan must have lying prophets to deceive the whole world and take this world to its FINAL destruction. Your destruction is imminent. Obey or Perish!

***Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Savannah, GA May 22, 2011 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
WBC to picket the Cathedral of St John the Baptist. Priests rape boys! How filthy can you be? The Catholic Church is the largest, most well-funded and organized pedophile machine in the world. Every person who goes into that place and puts money in the plate is responsible for the sins of those evil priests, bishops, cardinals, and the pope himself! You hate your children! You would rather be lied to and have your children raped than to give even one thought to obeying God. Shame on you! You should RUN from that place and NEVER step foot into it again. Instead you pay the priest to rape your child so that you don't have to quit sinning your own self.

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof? Jeremiah 5:31

St. John's Episcopal Church in Savannah , GA May 22, 2011 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
WBC to picket St. John's Episcopal Church. You will eat your babies! You have trusted in lies and refused to obey your God and serve Him only. Instead you pay the preachers to lie and tell you the things you want to hear so that you can continue on in your sins.

Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things, ... thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: So that that man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gate. Deuteronomy 28:47, 53-55

The Avenger is on the way! Obey or Perish!

Beach High School in Savannah, GA May 27, 2011 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Jenkins High School in Savannah , GA May 27, 2011 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Windsor Forest High School in Savannah, GA May 27, 2011 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Jewish Community Center in Savannah, GA May 27, 2011 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Congregation Mickve Israel in Savannah, GA May 27, 2011 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM

- ML for catching his second wind after the BBR.

It was announced yesterday that Apple's newest iPad will come out in just over a week.  This one will be lighter, faster, and have longer battery life.

I think the iPad is cool.  So cool that if you chopped its price in half, made the screen a little bigger, and attached a keyboard to it, it would almost be as cool and easy to use as a laptop.

Push Poll

USA Today reports:
MADISON, Wis. — Americans strongly oppose laws taking away the collective bargaining power of public employee unions, according to a new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll. The poll found 61% would oppose a law in their state similar to such a proposal in Wisconsin, compared with 33% who would favor such a law.
Below the headline we read the actual question that was posed to those polled:
Would you favor or oppose a law in your state taking away some collective bargaining rights of most public unions, including the state teachers union?
Interesting. Here is how I would have worded the poll:
Would you favor or oppose a law in your state that requires government workers to pay for their own health benefits, like everyone else is already required to do?
And remember, the Wisconsin law merely requires public workers contribute 12% towards their benefits. I don't know about you but I have to pay 100% towards mine. And if I had to ask the original question posed above, I would have asked this first:
Do you even know what "collective bargaining rights" are? If not, then please do not answer any more questions.

Definition of Terms

I thought I would expound a bit on Snuffy's post by citing Merriam Webster:

Crack-er, noun.

1.  General:  a dry, thin, crispy bread product that may be leavened or unleavened.  ("I think I'll stop by Piggly Wiggly on the way home and buy a box of crackers.")

2.  Southeastern U.S.:  a poor, white person from the rural American South.  ("I saw more crackers at the Georgia-Florida game than at the Daytona 500 this year.")

3.  Savannah, GA:  anyone who is not Catholic.  ("I can't believe Tommy is marrying that cracker girl from Country Day").

Crackerology

The Trenton
This is the finest and most elegant cracker. This cracker is part of the Protestant gentry. He attended Country Day and is a member of the Yacht Club, Oglethorpe Club, Cotillion Club and various other civic organizations.

The Captain's Wafer
This cracker lives on Wilmington/Whitemarsh Island and owns a boat and/or jet skis. He may have attended BC and he may even be a member of the Parade Committee.

The Saltine
The saltiest of the crackers, The Saltine is older and has lived on Tybee Island most of his life. He can be found six nights a week on a stool at Doc's Bar and occasionally at The Quarter. He knows that he is a cracker and just doesn't give a shit.

The Ritz
With a tanned, buttery sheen, the Ritz lives in Effingham County, but claims Savannah as his hometown. He too owns a boat and/or jet skis.

The Club Cracker
Any cracker with gelled hair that hangs out at Deja Groove or any other nightclub.

The Wheat Thin
A female cracker, The Wheat Thin has taken good care of herself, and because of her good looks, was able to "marry up" to a higher social status.

The Melba Toast
With a very crunchy texture, The Melba Toast is the hippie of the cracker world. He attends Bonaroo each year and owns hundreds of bootleg Phish and WP concert cassette tapes.

The Lance Cracker
Look up "cracker" in the dictionary and you will find two pictures, one of a pack of Lance vending machine crackers, and the other of a Calvary graduate. Lance crackers come in many varieties, as do Calvary grads, but they are all crackers.

I won't be able to make it to KB's tonight, but training will continue Friday night at Trinity.

Some good news out of Egypt

CNN's Anderson Cooper and his camera crew were attacked and repeatedly punched by pro-government forces near Tahrir Square in Cairo today. "My team were set upon by the crowd," Cooper said on CNN this morning via telephone from the safety of a hotel balcony. "There was no rhyme or reason to it—it was just people looking for a fight, looking to make a point, and punching us." According to a Twitter post from George Hale, the English editor of the Ma'an news agency, who cited a CNN "manager," Cooper was punched "10 times in the head."

Mayor Otis and the Gang

Has anyone been keeping up with Savannah "politics"? Or, as some would say the "Circus".

You can read the updated story here.
http://savannahnow.com/latest-news/2011-01-28/attorney-general-demands-explanation-councils-secret-meeting

Also, here's a Savannahnow blog post from today. Funny stuff.

It would be nice to shrink the Savannah City limits to the ghettos of Westside, Eastside, and Windsor; and the remaining portions would incorporate with the county. One can only hope. The city cannot rid itself of shenanigans until it incorporates with Chatham, which will never happen.

Awesome

Oceans '01

Let's "rewind the tape" and revisit one of the greatest acts of espionage in BC history. The context:

It was late January '01. Bush Part Duex was just sworn in as president, and CDT/LTC Lane ran the tightest "battalion of monkeys" (Owens, p. 463) that BC had ever seen, despite his inability to get his hair cut short enough to meet the demanding specifications of our SAI (until he shaved it). After the "Innecken-Contra Affair" of late 2000, the heat was on our strapping protagonist on a near-hourly basis from senior members of the Cadre.

Enter CDT/CPT Wh*****ge, 1st BN S3, and a hell of a guy. As S3, CDT/CPT Wh*****ge's job primarily consisted of making sure that he gave the office notice to make an announcement when we had PT, thereby giving notice to the Mighty Fightin' Men of B-N-1 to bring their gym clothes. This grueling task had to be repeated upwards of 6 times throughout the academic year. In the chaos of the day-to-day duties of a Battalion S3, the Cap managed to forget to drop off the announcement roughly 3 of those 6 times.

The first two times that the battalion missed PT due to lack of notice given to the men(possibly still a record), our American Heroes had to suffer devastatingly difficult tours of Justice Under God. At the end of the LTC's 8th tour (again, possibly a record), the Cap famously said, "Lieu, I will never be responsible for us having to do this again." Always a man of his word, the Cap was committed to never have the men miss PT again.

Fast forward the tapes to (literally) the next time we were scheduled for PT.

It was a cold January Monday morning. Tensions were high in the well, as our heroes rushed to finish their homework that they had neglected for approximately 3 days. By the end of homeroom, panic set in amongst the leadership of the 2nd Battalion, as they realized that they had made the fatal error that had caused so much suffering for their counterparts across the courtyard.

At lunch, our heroes made light of the fact that they were, apparently, not the only ones who forgot to alert the troops about PT.

Fast forward the tapes again...this time, to the second year of college.

Having retired from the service of our country, and believing that the statute of limitations had passed, The Ol' Cap shared the true story of what happened that fateful January morning:

Shortly after 7 AM, the S3 had that old familiar feeling. Rushing to the training circular in a near panic, he realized that he had, yet again, forgotten to alert the Titans of the Mighty First that they needed to bring their Russell Athletic apparrel to drill. ALAS! No one was around. So he changed the posted training schedule to reflect that the 2nd Battalion had PT that day. And the rest is history.

10 Year Reunion "Feeler"

My self and a few other BC classmates, yet to be disclosed, met at the Skidaway Rd. Carey Hilliards last week to hash out ideas for the big 10 year extravaganza. We decided to rent out the Charles Morris Center/ Trustee Garden hall, black tie with a 4 course meal, Stewart Winfield, and a photographer. We decided on a reasonable fee of $200 per person.

Yeah right, we would not come up with such a stupid plan. (If you didn't know, the SVA girls in our class attempted a similar course of action, and the whole thing blew up. Now those girls have no plan.)

Instead, in our infinite wisdom, we decided to have a BYOB night, guys only, on a Friday. This will be followed by a gathering at a bar/ restaurant the second night (dates allowed.) Our aim is to be as cheap as possible, yet still retain a good time. (Neither of which the SVA girls will obtain.)

We are now trying to settle on a date. Our group has proposed the weekend of Friday, June 24th as the tentative reunion date.

What do y'all say? Let me know if you see a big problem with the time frame (i.e. weddings, babies, conceptions, etc.)

Wristbands snipped for St. Pat's

Not that this really applies to us anymore, but I never understood the point of gating River Street. People under 21 could still go down there and Savannah allows open-containers downtown year-round, so nothing was really being "contained." The money collected from the wristbands simply paid for the gating and security needed to enforce the gating, with a nominal amount of profit left over.

Therefore, I think the city made a good decision. However, I do not have any intentions to meander down to River Street on St. Patrick's Day in the foreseeable future. As much as I love Kevin Barry's, it is not the same place on March 17th as it is every other day of the year.

HLN Rundown: January 13, 2011

For the past few weeks, we've kept Headline News (HLN) on TV in the lobby at work. I am now further convinced that nothing shown on HLN is ever worthy of headlines or even news.

That being said, I'm going to give a brief rundown of today's top stories.

- A girl from The Jersey Shore got into a fight.

- Carrie Fischer is the new face of Jenny Craig. She's put on a few since her stint in the Rebel Army.

- Kendal Kardashian is the newest Kardashian sister to become famous for nothing. She is 15, has some pictures on the internet, and is acting like a total whore.

- A few years ago, Oprah made a movie. It didn't do well, so she ate a lot of mac and cheese.

- Some wealthy gentleman crashed his plane into a beach in Florida. No one died.

- Lebron James tweeted something about the how the Cavaliers aren't as good as when he was there.

- Mark Wahlberg quit smoking pot.

And finally, today's top story:

- An Asian couple had identical quadruplets. Everyone is super amazed that these children will grow up looking exactly alike.

This has been HLN Rundown. Thank you.

Chair Tipping

Remember those nasty, green cafeteria chairs that we used to like to tip over? Well, apparently they are worth a lot of money. Hank, meet me at the cafeteria loading dock tonight and we'll load up your truck, sell these puppies on ebay and retire early!

Time to Get Serious

B'gorrah! Only 65 more days!

We have some business to discuss...

1. This month, the 17th falls on Monday, which is also MLK Day. Since Monday is a holiday, I propose that we hold our monthly meeting at Kevin Barry's on Sunday night, the 16th.

2. We need to schedule the 4th Annual Irish Hurricanes' Gael Force Parade Route Run. My suggestion is to hold the race on Tuesday, March 15th.

What's That, Screech?

"Slippery slope," be damned..this is a rockslide.

A California court ruled in favor of warrantless searches of cell phones by police. Unfortunately, technology has advanced since Zach Morris' day, and cell phones are now esentially supercomputers.
Couldn’t agree more with this AM's Wall Street Journal.

Movie Review: Little Fockers= awful

When I first got on this blog my first post was about Jim Carey's Yes Man, which was dubious movie of epic proportions. Then came this piece of of crap, Little Fockers. I rather watch Stephen Leonard do a 100 tax returns than sit through the agony that was Little Fockers.

Plain and simple, it is called Little Fockers, but the kids are rarely in it. This movie is such a marketing ploy. Get a lot of great actors and pay them a couple million each to act off a script no better than a power rangers episode. Everyone may say, "Well MAR why did you see this?" Don't ask!

Here is what I came out feeling after this movie:
-Ben Stiller is not funny
-Robert De Niro knows it sucks, so he goes over the top with his Character
-Dustin Hoffman is not funny
-Barbra Streisand should not act
-Why is Harvey Keitel in this?
-Jessica Alba is hot, but her acting is like listening to someone scratching their nails on the chalk board
- Why did they say Focker jokes over 60 times in this movie?
- Why has this movie made almost 100 million?
- I am fed up with puking gag scenes
- "The Godfocker"......seriously?
- Why did I watch this and contribute to the 100 million

Please do not see this!

Mr. Irrelevant

The BMBS MOTY Award is now officially meaningless. Nothing against Shane. He's a good guy and one of my friends. But what has he done? This isn't the "He's a Nice Guy Award." If it was, we would just give it to Reardon every year.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Smokers like Goof...

January 1, 2011...the day that Pinkie Master's died.

Of note from the article:
They also worried that smokers like Matt Crider, who works downtown but lives on Wilmington Island, will head outside the city limits and outside the limits of the new ordinance.

"I don't want to smell the smoke in a restaurant. I agree with that," he said Monday as he curled against the wind on a cigarette break near Reynolds Square. "But at a bar, there's an age limit. If you aren't 21, you don't get in. And to make someone of legal age go outside to smoke a cigarette, that is wrong."

The Home Stretch

A very merry Christmas from all of us here at BMBS.  The remaining 6 days of 2010 remain pivotal for Messrs. Murray and Schwarz.  Will Rick be the comeback kid?

What Could Have Been

150 years ago this week, our neighbors across the river officially seceded from the United States to become The Republic of South Carolina. Apparently fireworks, video poker, the Heritage, and all-nude strip clubs were not providing the requisite amount of excitement.

In all seriousness, slavery was the cruelest and most horrific of practices. Don't let anyone (Webber) tell you otherwise. The concept of secession, however, is neither cruel nor crazy, and sometimes I think it deserves another shot.

Jeff'd

This is really stupid, but for some reason, I find it hilarious.

I am backing the Nomination of Shane Murray

I can not elaborate much more than Hank, but as I was sitting here the other day about to put my nominee up, I felt mine was not as good as a class act like Shane Murray.

An Ayn Rand Christmas

What's so wonderful about bailing out society's least productive and trustworthy members?

While driving the other day, I heard a radio ad for Best Buy, promising to help customers save up to 30% on certain gifts before 12pm Saturday. Following that was another ad for a website that helps shoppers find the lowest prices on popular items this year. I have an even better idea that will save people even more money. I have posted it below for all to see.
Don't even buy anything for anybody in the first place.
This year, if you're going to get something, get it for yourself. My suggestion would be the Ayn Rand box set, available at Amazon for $13.95. We were all subjected to The Christmas Carol/Wonderful Life stories and adaptations growing up, but the truth is that Uncle Scrooge and Mr. Potter probably created thousands of jobs for people, because they actually cared about how their money was spent and made sure it was invested wisely. I'm sure Bob Cratchit and George Bailey were nice guys, but how many factories did they build?  How many people did they ever actually hire?

Voting begins. I left Kayne off because I'm guessing Ryan was just joking. Tried reading his post but it took too long to figure out what it all meant. Anyways, good luck gentlemen!
